"One of the most talked-about restaurants in Milan is Aimo and Nadia. Aimo, a cheerful man who creates dishes out of the most simple of ingredients, is the chef and owner and runs the place with his wife, Nadia. The couple has managed to create a sensation even among the city's hardened jet set. The trick, he says, is "quality." No kidding, even the lard is great.
Aimo has a picture album of the bulls and pigs that go into his meals. The spaghetti with onions dish is a great starter. Order the tripe for your main course. The condiments include wild fennel flowers, white beans, spring asparagus and cured veal liver. Unfortunately, you need to reserve a few weeks in advance for a table, but the advantage is that the place is so small, you get all the attention you need for a perfect meal. Once you have sampled Aimo's cuisine, it's easy to understand why he received such high Michelin ratings."
